A social media user described a frightening but unexpected encounter after mounting a pedestrian bridge on Agege Road in Lagos.

In a post on X, the lady detailed how her dread rapidly turned to relief when the men she was worried about reassured her, albeit she still offered them $1,000 for safety.

“Climbed the pedestrian bridge along Agege Road, saw some rough guys and my heart dropped.😭

“I wanted to turn back immediately.😭 They were so nice and told me not to be afraid. I sha gave them the cash with me make dem no collect my phone.”
