A lady has reportedly called off her wedding after discovering that her fiancé allegedly spent almost ₦2 million of money provided by his brother to support their marriage on suits for his groomsmen.

According to an account circulating online, the groom-to-be’s brother gave him ₦5 million in the presence of his fiancée to assist with the couple’s wedding expenses.

The brother reportedly instructed him to allocate ₦3 million towards the wedding, give his fiancée ₦1 million, and keep the remaining ₦1 million for himself.

However, while the man reportedly used the ₦3 million as instructed for the wedding preparations, he allegedly spent almost the entire remaining ₦2 million on suits for his groomsmen.

The groom-to-be reportedly paid for the suits himself without asking the groomsmen to contribute towards the cost.

Lady Objects to How the Money Was Spent

The woman reportedly became upset after discovering that she received only ₦200,000 instead of the ₦1 million her fiancé’s brother had specifically instructed him to give her.

The disagreement over how the money was allocated reportedly escalated, eventually leading the woman to call off the planned wedding.

The incident has since sparked reactions online, with social media users debating whether her decision to end the relationship was justified.
