A Nigerian woman’s strong stance against marital infidelity has sparked comments online.
She claims that even though she is happily married, she has made it obvious that cheating would end their relationship.
She revealed that her husband holds the same opinion, saying that if either of them cheats, the marriage will end as soon as it is found out, in a widely shared video on X (previously Twitter) by @feeztm.
Read her words below;
“I’m married oo, but the day my husband cheats on me, my marriage is going to be over, except I don’t know or find out.
But if I know, my marriage is over because my husband too has told me that once I cheat on him and he finds out, the marriage is going to be over.”
She emphasises that both spouses must maintain the same standards for a relationship to succeed and maintains that forgiving should not be one-sided.
Online reactions to her admission have been mixed. Some have complimented her attitude, while others have suggested that a strict zero-tolerance policy could not allow for mistakes or growth in a marriage.
A commentator wrote, “It’s harsh but honest. If both agree, then that’s the rule of the house.” Another critic added, “You never ready for marriage. What makes you think you have equal rights in marriage?”
