According to a report by Premium Times, on Sunday, August 9, 2026, the long-standing disagreement involving P-Square singers Peter and Paul Okoye and their elder brother and former manager, Jude Okoye, has continued to generate reactions, with another member of the Okoye family now speaking publicly about the dispute.

Henry Okoye, who described himself as the brother immediately older than Jude and senior to Peter and Paul, has accused Jude of playing a role in the division within the family.

He also called on Jude to take steps toward bringing Peter and Paul together and helping to resolve their differences.

Henry’s comments came at a time when the disagreement among the brothers had taken a new turn.

Peter Okoye, also known as Mr P, recently began releasing a series of videos in which he discussed his account of P-Square’s history, financial arrangements and the issues that have contributed to the group’s repeated separation.

Peter and Paul became widely known as P-Square and eventually established themselves as one of Africa’s most successful music duos. The brothers first separated in 2017 before reconciling in 2021.

However, their reunion did not last, as they became separated again in 2024 following fresh disagreements involving finances and management.

The dispute later resulted in an Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) investigation and a court case involving Jude. Jude has denied allegations of wrongdoing and has also responded to some of the claims made by Peter.

Henry said he had watched parts of Peter’s video series but explained that he could not confirm allegations concerning events he did not personally witness.

However, he decided to speak about matters he said he experienced directly within the family.

He said, “When Paul and Peter started running away from the family, we never knew that it was Jude causing the problem.

Henry went further to accuse Jude of being responsible for some of the family’s difficulties.

He said he had not communicated with Jude for about one to two years and claimed that Jude did not contact him even when he was admitted to hospital for two months.

According to Henry, Peter and Paul contacted him during that period, while Jude allegedly did not call him even once.

He also expressed concern about other members of the family, including his sister and their last-born, whom he said were facing difficulties in Lagos without enough support.

Henry also spoke about Paul, describing him as one of the kindest members of the Okoye family. He, however, said he could not explain why Paul had become distant from some members of the family.

The elder Okoye brother also recalled the early days of P-Square before the group became successful.

He said he played an important role in supporting Peter and Paul when they were still trying to establish themselves in the music industry.

According to him, he used his time, resources and energy to support the brothers. He said he also served as their bodyguard and travelled with them to different states for performances.

He further stated that their sister, Lillian, was involved in collecting gate fees during some of their early performances. Henry said he and some of his friends also acted as security personnel for the group during that period.

He also mentioned Tony Okoye, another member of the family who was involved with P-Square as a dancer. Henry expressed concern that Tony was also in Lagos but was no longer receiving attention from other members of the family.

Henry stressed that this was the first time he had spoken publicly about the family dispute.

He said that despite sharing the same parents with the other members of the Okoye family, he had previously chosen not to discuss their internal disagreements on social media.

His intervention has now added another perspective to the continuing dispute surrounding P-Square, with different members of the family giving their accounts of what led to the repeated disagreements between Peter, Paul and Jude Okoye.
