Candidates seeking admission through the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) can now verify and upload their O’Level results from home following a new initiative by the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB).

The new service initially covers WAEC results, allowing JAMB to electronically verify candidates’ results directly with the relevant examination bodies before uploading them to their profiles.

According to JAMB’s Acting Director of Public Affairs and Protocol, Dr Fabian Benjamin, the initiative is designed to make the process easier, faster, safer and more convenient for candidates.

The Board said the electronic system would also help address challenges associated with manual uploads, including misplaced certificates, incorrect entries and the submission of unverified or fraudulent results.

JAMB added that the new process would minimise errors that may occur when candidates manually enter their subjects and grades.

The development is expected to reduce pressure on CBT centres, particularly during peak admission periods, as eligible candidates can now complete the result-upload process remotely.

The new system is part of JAMB’s broader efforts to streamline admission-related services and make the process more convenient for candidates.
