Nigerian singer Niniola Apata has shared a cryptic message suggesting that blood is no longer thicker than water, adding that d3ath often reveals people’s true character.

The Grammy-nominated artist made the remark on her Instagram Story while expressing gratitude to the Apata family, colleagues, and friends for their support following the d3ath of her husband, Michael Ndika.

A service of songs was held on Saturday in preparation for the burial of her late husband, which is scheduled to take place later in the week.

“It’s better to have pure water run through your veins than blood that it is supposed to be thicker,” she wrote.

“D3ath let’s you see people’s true form.”
