According to Jerusalem post, Iran’s military has reportedly shot down what state media described as an Israeli surveillance drone in the southern province of Hormozgan, according to reports published on Sunday by Iranian news agency Mehr.
The report claimed that the unmanned aerial vehicle was discovered with the assistance of Iranian naval forces after it was brought down in the strategically important region near the Persian Gulf.
According to Mehr, the wreckage recovered was identified as an Orbiter drone, an Israeli-made unmanned aerial system produced by Israeli defense company Aeronautics.
