The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, has vowed to deliver Rivers State and FCT for President Bola Tinubu’s re-election, despite any attempts to frustrate his efforts.

Wike made this clear while rallying Rivers youths to support Tinubu and other Rainbow Coalition candidates ahead of the general elections.

The minister expressed confidence in his political strength, questioning the purpose of his appointment if he could not secure victory for Tinubu in his home state.

He also revealed that he was the only person assigned to coordinate political activities in two states, promising that both would support Tinubu regardless of any plans to sabotage the effort.

Wike further warned Nigerians against politicians he described as untrustworthy and those who make promises they cannot keep. He said political leaders should be judged by their ability to improve the lives of citizens rather than their appearance or public image.

Speaking about former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, Wike questioned his reliability, claiming that his statements often change depending on the time and situation.

Wike said he had worked with Atiku in the same political party and understood his character, challenging him to dispute his claims.

In his words, “I’m the only one they gave two states to coordinate. And I can tell you, no matter what they do, no matter the sabotage they do, we will deliver the two states to Tinubu.”
