A young Nigerian lady has taken to social media to vent her frustration over what she described as unfair treatment by her elder sister, with whom she currently lives.
@Hybrid_Ola posted an emotional rant video on X (formerly Twitter) accusing her sister of overburdening her with housework..
Expressing her anger, she said:
“If you’re not comfortable in this house, then park out. Must you stay here? If you’re not comfortable with me, then park out and go. It’s you that will leave the house for me if you’re not comfortable.
“Toilet that I washed, it’s not even up to one week, you told me to go and wash it again. Only you used plate to eat sardine bread, you told me to go and wash it. It’s not even up to how many days I washed plate. Why do you keep doing this thing?”
She also stated that she feels disrespected and unfairly treated, and made it clear to her sister that she is not her mother.
The young woman insisted that helping around the house was not the issue, but the constant commands and lack of sympathy made her feel used and undervalued.
Her outburst drew mixed reactions online. While some advised her to persevere and thank her sister for making accommodations, others argued that respect and balance should exist even among siblings.
One user wrote, “What do you expect as a last born?” Another commented, “If you’re staying in someone’s house, you should contribute, but respect must go both ways.”
