Veteran Nigerian artist Peter Okoye has issued a powerful statement condemning insecurity and poor administration in Nigeria, expressing a willingness to talk more freely about national concerns.

Taking to X (previously Twitter), the afrobeat star declared that he is no longer afraid of criticism or online attacks, and that he is ready for any retribution that may result from speaking out.

“The way I’m about to start speaking out on insecurity and bad governance in Nigeria, all these N3k sponsored attackers better get ready,” he tweeted.

He further emphasized that attempts to silence or discourage him would not work, insisting that he has reached a point where he is willing to express his views without fear of consequences.

“If una wan cancel me, make una line up well. Cos me too I don fall out,” he added.

Peter Okoye’s words came amid mounting concerns over the country’s insecurity, including recent Oyo kidnapping episodes that have generated widespread outrage and requests for more government action.

While some social media users commended his bravery and willingness to speak out, others contended that celebrities frequently receive harsh criticism when they take strong opinions on political and national matters.
