“If I were the one…” – Peller reacts to lady who addressed Tony Elumelu by his name

Peller, a Nigerian content maker, responded to the widely shared event in which a woman called millionaire businessman Tony Elumelu by his first name.

Peller contended that if the woman had come from a less affluent family or had not received formal education, her behaviour would have drawn different criticism.Upgrading Video Hosting And Streaming Tools

He pointed out that the woman is a graduate and asked why she would speak so casually to someone who is older and more established, contending that position and age should be respected.

Peller added that when someone comes from a less fortunate family, people are frequently eager to attribute their bad behaviour to their lack of knowledge.

“If it was someone like us who did what that lady did to Tony Elumelu, they would start saying, ‘That is why I say education is important’. That girl is a graduate o. And she open her wide mouth say good morning Tony. Person wey be say make we leave money aside, age alone will cover you down.

“If say na person like us, dey go say na because he is uneducated. He did not go to school. Them go whine your career…”
