A woman, Keturah Stephen, has shared how a Facebook post that was initially mocked by many people eventually led her to the man who became her husband.
On January 10, 2026, Keturah publicly declared that she wanted to be married before her 35th birthday and even revealed her preferred wedding date.
She wrote:
“My wedding date is supposed to be 16th May 2026, is there a man willing to take the risk? Send a DM, let’s talk.”
At the time, her post attracted mixed reactions, with many people making jokes about it.
However, according to Keturah, a man who was not even on her Facebook friends list came across the post and decided to send her a direct message.
Their conversation blossomed into a relationship, and after returning to Nigeria, the man proposed to her on February 15, 2026.
Before the end of February, he officially sent his family to meet hers to begin traditional marriage arrangements.
On May 9, 2026, his family returned to pay her bride price and complete the traditional marriage rites, making her a married woman just days before the May 16 date she had publicly hoped to achieve.
The couple later celebrated their church wedding in July, bringing to reality what many had initially dismissed as an impossible wish.
Her story has since gone viral online, with many social media users describing it as an inspiring reminder that unexpected opportunities can arise from taking a bold step.
