Nigerian artist Dior Adiele has spoken publicly about her strained relationship with her mother, insisting that she wants her mother to leave her home.

According to Dior, she was forced to take on adult responsibilities from a young age, claiming that her mother made her start paying rent when she was just 16 years old.

The artist said the experience robbed her of her childhood and has continued to affect her emotionally. She also revealed that her mother currently lives with her but said she is no longer willing to accommodate her.

Dior Says Her Mother Must Leave Her Home

In a post shared online, Dior expressed frustration over her mother’s refusal to leave her home, despite allegedly being asked to do so.

She said her mother’s presence was affecting her mental and emotional wellbeing and that she needed to prioritise her own peace and her daughter.

“I want this woman OUT OF MY FUCKING SPACE!!!! she is refusing to leavemy house,she claims she has nowhere to go and her family is begging me to keep accommodating her because ‘she is mymother’

“Her presence is triggering me, I hate whoi am becoming.
“My daughter needs me, i want to be sane for her.

“I HAVE BEEN USED FOR TOOO LONG, I AM LOOSING MY MIND!!!!”

Artist Claims Her Childhood Was Taken From Her

Dior further alleged that she was made to shoulder financial responsibilities while still a teenager.

She claimed that although her father was sending money, she and her siblings were allegedly made to believe otherwise.

“My childhood was stolen from me. I started paying rent at 16, in a house I lived in with her and my siblings.
“My father was sending money, but she made us believe he wasn’t.

“She took us away from the Catholic Church, started attending a demonic church, made us homeless 3times!
“I am 32 this year and still paying rent. No tangible properties to my name despite how hard I have worked all my life!

“I made money, I made crazy money to afford me some landed properties, but this woman drained my every dime. But she is a ‘prayer warrior’.”

Dior’s revelations have sparked discussions online about family relationships, childhood responsibilities, financial boundaries and the emotional impact of difficult parent-child relationships.
