The woman first hinted at the experience by writing, “If I say this thing, I might get dragged.”
She later explained her position, saying, “I promise I know it’s not easy anywhere and I’m very grateful for anything that comes as a gift, but 15k from someone that lives in the US and promised you ‘big money’ especially when you didn’t ask feels somehow.”
Her comments sparked discussions on expectations, gratitude, and the realities of living overseas.
