A Nigerian roasted maize vendor who went viral after claiming to earn N2.5 million a month has since withdrawn the claim, stating that it was merely intended to be satisfied.
The woman claimed in a new video that she had no idea the previous clip would become so popular.
The woman who shot the original video reportedly told her that the footage had gone viral on social media and enquired as to whether she was aware of its popularity.
The corn vendor replied that she had already seen the viral video with her toddler.
She denied earning N2.5 million a month, claiming that she wouldn’t be standing outside selling roasted maize if she had made that much.
She begged Nigerians to pardon her, saying that the assertion was created for content and that she had no idea it would get such a large amount of attention.
