Following the reported death of her second son, internet personality Blessing CEO denied authorizing anyone to solicit funds on her behalf.

Actress Doris Ogala issued the denial after speaking with Blessing CEO on the phone, and she asked the public to disregard a video in which a woman allegedly solicited donations on Blessing’s behalf.

Ogala reports that the woman requested ₦56 million, which included an additional ₦36 million on top of ₦20 million.

During the phone call, Blessing denied knowing about the fundraising campaign and stated that she had not sent anyone to raise money for her.

“No, I’m not aware of that. No, no, no, no, I didn’t,” she said when asked if she authorised anyone to solicit funds.

Blessing also stated that she had not given anyone permission to announce her son’s death, believing she was in the best position to do so herself.

“I didn’t give anybody consent and according to the phone passing of my son, I think I’m in the best position to break that news, not an entire stranger,” she said.

Ogala then urged anyone who had donated to the woman to seek a refund, claiming that Blessing had not approved the fundraising.

She stated that Blessing was nearing the end of her bail process, but denied that the ₦56 million fundraising appeal came from her.
