Hotel staff admits to st3aling millions from hotel over five years, says proceeds were shared among workers

A man identified as Yokonta Friday has admitted to st3aling from a hotel and illegally selling hotel rooms over a five-year period.

In a video circulating online, Friday confessed that he collected payments from guests, transferred the money into his personal account, and shared the proceeds with others allegedly involved in the operation.

He claimed that he and two individuals, identified as Mr. Wale and Mr. Seyi, typically took the largest portion of the funds before distributing the remainder among other participants.

According to him, members of the housekeeping department were aware of the arrangement.

When asked whether he had used the proceeds to build a house, Friday responded that he had.

He also revealed that between May last year and June this year, a total of ₦17.8 million passed through his personal account.

During the interview, he accepted responsibility for the theft and acknowledged that his actions were unlawful.
