A female candidate wearing a hijab was prevented from entering her examination center during the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) exam.

The candidate wearing the hijab was seen in a line with other people getting ready to take the exam.

However, she was turned away from the examination room. She was allegedly told to take off her hijab before being permitted inside by a security guard performing clearance.

The lady, who appeared visibly upset, turned away from the entrance. Another security officer was also seen reinforcing the instruction that she must remove the hijab before gaining access to the venue and taking her exam.
