A new development regarding cryptocurrency entrepreneur Blord’s incarceration in Kuje prison despite being granted bail has surfaced online.
Blord was granted bail by the Federal High Court in Abuja on April 17, 2026, according to earlier report.
The cryptocurrency entrepreneur is scheduled to appear in court for the trial after being freed on self-recognizance.
Blord was required to deposit his international passport as part of the terms of his bail.
Blord Remanded In Kuje Prison
According to VeryDarkMan, despite being granted bail, Blord was taken back to Kuje Correctional Center due to failure to meet the bail condition of submitting his international passport.
”They tried everything they could,but his passport could not come from Anambra on time”, He stated.
Notably, Blord was arrested and remanded in Kuje prisonon April 1, 2026, after being arraigned before a Federal High Court in Abuja on charges of impersonating social media critic VeryDarkMan.
He was accused of forging documents, including flight tickets, and falsely claiming VeryDarkMan was involved in his business ventures.
Earlier, Omoyele Sowore, a human rights activist and former presidential candidate, confirmed that Blord, the cryptocurrency entrepreneur, has been granted bail by the Federal High Court in Abuja.
Sowore, who was present in court during the proceedings, expressed cautious optimism about the outcome.
The bail ruling comes amid controversy surrounding Blord’s detention, with allegations of police misconduct and abuse of power.
