A Nigerian lady has revealed a comical incident in which she mistook a groom for a teenager when he arrived to pick up wedding printings.

@stxllionchik shared the anecdote on X, revealing that the man’s youthful appearance had utterly misled her.

According to her, a bride for whom she had done some printing work notified her that someone was coming to collect the materials.

She claimed a young male eventually arrived, and she guessed he was about 18 or 19.

“Last week, a bride that I did some printings for, told me she was going to send someone to pick up.”

She added:

“The person who came for the pickup was a young boy who I believed was 18/19.”

According to the woman, she asked the man if he had come to pick up the gifts on the bride’s behalf and casually greeted him.

“I asked him ‘How are you bobo? You’re here to pickup for lagbaja abi?’ and.. He said yes.”

She seemed to think he was a young lad assisting the wedding, so she went one step further and gave him 1,000 for transportation after giving him the printings.

“So, I gave the printings to him and even gave him 1k for transport.”

The woman was astounded at what she saw when the bride posted photos from her wedding the next day.

“The bride posted her wedding pictures yesterday, and behold.. the boy who I thought was 17 was actually the groom, and he’s in his early 30s.”
