A Nigerian woman has expressed her disappointment after supposedly being blocked by a man she met through a common acquaintance after spending her own money to see him.

According to her, a buddy shared her video on WhatsApp, and the man exhibited an interest in her. She stated that she thought him handsome and was pleased when they finally started talking.

“A friend of mine posted a video of me on her WhatsApp status, and a guy saw it and told her he liked me. She sent me his picture, and I liked him too because he was actually my crush.”

The lady added that the man again asked her to his residence but refused to send the transport fare, alleging that some women receive transport money but do not show up.

She said that she paid her own fare and even purchased jollof rice and chicken for him when he requested it. According to her, she spent the night at his house and expected him to reimburse her expenses as agreed.

However, when she was about to depart, he allegedly stated he didn’t have any money because a client hadn’t paid him yet.

“As soon as I got home, this guy blocked me everywhere. Imagine if I decide to curse him now. After eating my jollof rice and chicken, and on top of that, sleeping with me, he still blocked me,” she lamented.

The story has sparked mixed reactions online, with many advising people to be cautious when meeting strangers and avoid spending money on people they barely know.
