Odumeje, a renowned cleric and Anambra-based pastor, sent a heartfelt message to Nigerian singer Davido after his recent Grammy Awards loss.

Davido and other Nigerian musicians were nominated for the 2026 Grammy Awards but did not win. Odumeje.

When asked about the international recognition, Odumeje reminded the Afrobeat star of his already impressive accomplishments.

He emphasized that Davido’s life is an award in and of itself.

According to him, fans’ love for Davido outweighs the Grammy Awards, emphasizing that it was not the award that introduced them to the singer.

“Davido, you’re already a generational award awarded with a lot of award. There’s no award that you will receive now that means anything. You have already awarded any award you need. Your life, your steps are awards. Don’t allow any ordinary iron to quench the fire of your joy. What is Grammy, who knows the Grammy. Who Grammy help? Grammy didn’t make us to know Davido. We know you as a good singer and that is why we love you.”
