A Nigerian soldier has spoken out online in an emotive message, bemoaning the continual loss of fellow soldiers to kidnappers, robbers, and Boko Haram extremists across the country.
In a popular video published on X (previously Twitter) by @General_Somto, he conveyed his grief at witnessing courageous warriors collapse while risking their lives every day to protect Nigerians.
“We are losing our gallant men every day to kidnappers, bandits, Boko Haram. Ahhh… God, you’re our last hope and Savior. Please don’t let us regret the oath we took,” he said.
He revealed that several of his comrades were slain in the line of duty while combating criminal organisations and terrorists.
The soldier’s passionate words pleaded with God for assistance, describing the situation as really terrible for soldiers on the battlefield.
Despite the sacrifices of soldiers on the front lines, attacks by militants and criminal gangs continue throughout Nigeria.
The soldier’s heartfelt plea has subsequently resonated with Nigerians across the country, prompting requests for stronger support and more prayers.
