“Girls don’t like each other” — Lady recount her experience with Female soldier in NYSC camp

A woman described a stressful situation at her NYSC camp in which she was almost smacked by another female soldier over a headgear argument.

In a widely shared video, the woman talked about how she gently challenged the soldier, who finally gave way after she grasped her hand and met her gaze.

The corps member claims that when the soldier attempted to seize her cap, the incident began.

She didn’t have good intentions—if she had slapped me in the camp, she would have been in big trouble. Not many people are as calm as me,” she said.

She added that the confrontation revealed deeper issues among women: “This shows why life is complicated for girls—we don’t really like ourselves sometimes, and I don’t know why. Only when we like ourselves can we respect each other.”

Since her companion stepped in and reported the event to the commandant and platoon, ensuring that the situation was resolved without escalation, the film also demonstrated the importance of the camp command structure.

She concluded, “This particular girl in her uniform, who always laughs with the boys, tried to prove a point today, but it wasn’t supposed to end in a slap.”

@Mrboorish:  “Is same thing with boys, but I’ll agree it’s worse with the female folks.”

@zoeymetax: “That’s not a ‘ladies’ problem, that’s just a mean person in a uniform. You didn’t deserve that.”
