The Federal Capital Territory Police Command has launched an investigation into a suspected culpable h0micide following the d3ath of a heavily pregnant woman identified as Alice after an altercation with another woman, Grace Kasimu.

According to preliminary police findings, Alice reportedly developed complications after the physical confrontation. She allegedly began bleeding and was rushed to Wuse General Hospital, where medical personnel later confirmed her death.

Confirming the incident, the command’s spokesperson, Josephine Adeh, stated that the suspect has been arrested and remains in police custody.

She added that investigations are ongoing and disclosed that the Commissioner of Police has directed that the matter be transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID) for further investigation and necessary legal action.

The police have assured the public that a thorough investigation will be conducted to determine the circumstances surrounding the incident.
