A man described an unexpected encounter in which he and his pals encountered a bunch of ladies while eating Chinese food at a lounge in Lekki, Lagos.

According to the man, the group invited the ladies to join them at their table, where everyone looked to enjoy the encounter and were given equal attention by the women.

He stated that one of his buddies, who had lately made some money, was funding the trip. However, due to account constraints, he sold some coins and transferred the proceeds to the only person in the group with an ATM card before leaving temporarily.

Following the meal, the bill arrived, and the companions jokingly referred to the ATM holder as their “chairman” as he cleared the payment.

The gang then exited the lounge after exchanging Instagram and Snapchat usernames with the ladies.

However, the man stated that they were startled when none of the women responded to messages from him or his other buddies.

According to his story, the only individual that received responses was the friend who used an ATM to settle the debt.

The experience has generated questions about whether the ladies’ attention was swayed by the person who appeared to foot the cost.

While the man did not claim to know why the women opted to respond primarily to that friend, his story demonstrates how unexpectedly social connections can shift following an event.

The episode has since become a topic of discussion among the friends, especially since the friend who actually financed the outing was not the one who seemed to make the payment.
