The General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Enoch Adeboye, has called on Nigeria’s security chiefs to eliminate terr0rists within 90 days or step down from their positions amid growing concerns over insecurity across the country.

In a video shared on the church’s official X account, Adeboye urged the government to take swift action against terr0rism, baπditry, and k•dnapping.

According to the cleric, if he were in a position to make recommendations, he would advise the government to set a 90-day deadline for security chiefs to effectively tackle terr0rist activities or resign if they fail to meet the target.

Adeboye emphasized that while religious leaders can offer guidance, the responsibility for national security ultimately lies with the Commander-in-Chief, Bola Tinubu.

Reflecting on the past, he revealed that he had given similar advice to former President Muhammadu Buhari regarding the fight against Boko Haram. According to him, Buhari acted on the recommendation by issuing directives to security agencies but did not enforce consequences when the objectives were not achieved within the stipulated period.

The RCCG leader also urged the current administration to ensure that efforts against insecurity target not only terr0rists but also individuals and networks that finance or support them, regardless of their status or influence.

His comments come amid renewed public concern over k!dnappings, att@cks on communities, and the abduction of pupils and teachers in parts of Nigeria, including recent incidents in Oyo State.

Adeboye’s remarks have since generated discussion among Nigerians, with many debating the effectiveness of security strategies and the accountability of security agencies in addressing the country’s security challenges.
