E. A. Adeboye has sparked conversation after sharing his views on the qualities men should consider when choosing a life partner.
Speaking during a sermon, the cleric advised that practical attributes such as cooking skills and hospitality should not be overlooked, as he believes they contribute to building a stable and peaceful home.
He also highlighted the importance of intelligence and good character, grounding his remarks in biblical principles on marriage and family life.
According to him, a man who marries without considering these traits may end up facing serious challenges in the relationship.
His words in part …
“Don’t marry a girl who cannot cook. We’re talking of excellent counsel. Only me can tell you these things. If she can’t cook, even if a prophet says this is your wife. Say thank you, keep her. Because if she can’t cook, if she can’t be hospitable, you’re heading for trouble. The Bible made it clear that your wife must be someone who is intelligent and hospitable…”
