A Nigerian woman has generated outrage online after exposing her marital difficulties following a horrific family accident involving her husband’s relatives.
Auntie Momoza shared the tale on Facebook, and the woman asked for advice on whether her reaction to her husband’s decision was incorrect.
According to her, her husband’s mother, sisters, and grandmother were all killed in a car accident while returning from a funeral.
She added that the catastrophe left four small children, ages two to six, with no close family to care for them.
She stated that her husband planned to bring the children into their home for care, but she refused, claiming that she already has one child and cannot manage the responsibility of four more.
She suggested him consider an orphanage or distant relatives instead.
Following the disagreement, she stated that her husband returned to the family home to care for the children himself.
Since then, she claims he has ceased communicating with her directly, instead giving money on Fridays and avoiding phone calls.
The woman showed bewilderment and mental anguish about the issue, wondering if her response was correct and if she handled it effectively.
Read her words below:
“Please keep me anonymous. My husband’s sisters, mother and grandmother passed away in a car accident on their way from a funeral. My sisters left behind 4 kids aged between 2 and 6 years.
My husband does not have other close relatives other than the ones who perished in the accident. Now he wants to take the children to stay with us.
I told him I only have one child and do not have any energy to take care of 4 more kids. I advised him to take them to an orphanage or distant relatives.
Ever since that conversation he moved back to the family house to take care of his sisters’ children, leaving me alone with our child.
He doesn’t call or take my calls. He only sends money to me every Friday.
Did I do anything wrong?”
