According to a report by Daily Post on Sunday, October 18, 2026, Davido’s logistics manager, Israel DMW, has debunked claims that the Afrobeats singer is secretly working with the All Progressives Congress (APC), describing the reports as fabricated stories intended to attract attention on social media.
Israel made the clarification in a statement shared on his Instagram account on Sunday, urging Nigerians to disregard the rumours surrounding the singer’s alleged involvement with the ruling party.
He insisted that the claims were false and maintained that Davido had not abandoned his previously stated position regarding the political situation in the country.
According to him, the rumours were allegedly being circulated to generate traffic and engagement across social media platforms rather than reflect the singer’s actual political stance.
Israel wrote, “Dearest Nigerians, kindly disregard the useless rumours going around that Oga has been secretly or is currently working for the APC.
“All are totally fabricated lies to gain social media traffic. His earlier stance still remains.
The logistics manager further disclosed that Davido had turned down several financial offers from individuals seeking his endorsement of presidential candidates.
He explained that the singer had consistently maintained that he would stand with Nigerians, particularly those facing economic difficulties and other challenges.
“Oga has rejected several millions of dollars to endorse any of the presidential candidates. He keeps saying he would be with Nigerians, who are going through a lot, and that he would never betray them at all. What else do Nigerians want again?”
Israel’s statement came amid speculation about Davido’s political affiliations and alleged connections with the APC ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The clarification was aimed at distancing the singer from claims that he was secretly supporting the ruling party while maintaining a different public position.
His remarks also sought to reassure Nigerians that the singer remained committed to the position he had previously expressed and had not accepted financial inducements to support any presidential candidate.
Davido, whose real name is David Adeleke, is one of Nigeria’s most prominent Afrobeats artistes, with a large following both within the country and internationally.
The singer’s political views and public statements have occasionally attracted attention, particularly as political parties and their supporters seek celebrity endorsements ahead of elections.
However, Israel maintained that the latest claims about Davido’s alleged collaboration with the APC were unfounded and should be disregarded.
