Due to claimed defamatory postings, Nollywood actress Adunni Ade filed a lawsuit against the well-known blog Instablog9ja. A judge has now ordered the platform to reveal its name.

According to court records from the High Court of Ogun State, Iseri/Ojodu Abiodun Judicial Division, Hon. Justice A. A. Babawale heard the case with Suit No. HCO/297/2026 on Wednesday, August 19, 2026.

Adunni Adewale is the applicant in this case, while “Unknown Person trading under the name and style of @instablog9ja on Instagram” is the respondent.

Ayodeji Fasehun Esq., the respondent’s attorney, informed the court during the hearings that he had only received the procedures two days prior and was unaware that his client had been served. He stated that he plans to submit an application to make the respondent’s name public.

However, the court mandated that the respondent’s name be included in their response.

The matter has been postponed until August 31, 2026.

With the title, “Update on court case Adunni Adewale vs. Instablog9ja. Court orders Instablog to reveal its identity,” Adunni Ade posted the court update on her Instagram feed.
