A couple in the United States avoided prison sentences after pleading guilty in connection with the dr0wning d3ath of their infant son in Cincinnati.
Degary Burbridge and Kiara Nettles were sentenced to 90 days at the River City Correctional Center and will also serve five years of probation.
According to Connie Pillich, the couple allegedly left the baby unattended in a bathtub filled with water in May 2025. Prosecutors said a third person later asked about the child, prompting the parents to check on him, after which the baby was reportedly found face down and unresponsive.
The pair initially faced involuntary maπslaughter charges, but those charges were later dropped as part of a plea agreement.
