“Cheating is cheating, stop normalising rubbish” — Lady blasts women defending Frank Edoho ex-wife’s infidelity

A woman has generated outrage online after condemning women who defend infidelity in partnerships, claiming that cheating cannot be justified regardless of the circumstances surrounding a marriage or relationship issue.

The lady made the remarks in response to the ongoing scandal between media personality Frank Edoho, his ex-wife, and artist Chike.

In a strongly written social media post released on Thursday, she questioned why some wome were reportedly condoning adultery by citing emotional neglect and a lack of financial support in marriages.

The day women start telling each other the truth instead of constantly defending nonsense, that’s the day we’ll witness real liberation,” she wrote.

Madam, simple question, did you cheat with Chike or not? All this ‘he wasn’t providing’, ‘I was unhappy’, explanation no change the fact that cheating is cheating. You had every opportunity to leave the relationship instead of being dishonest,” she added

The lady also blasted women who supported the alleged affair in comment sections, stating that accountability should not be sacrificed for female solidarity.

And the most annoying part is seeing some women in the comments applauding it like it’s something to be proud of. Una really need to stop normalising rubbish. E ti ya wehrey. Zero sense of accountability,” she stated.

The controversy comes days after renewed conversations emerged online following claims surrounding Frank Edoho’s failed marriage.

Similar debates about accountability and infidelity have erupted on Nigerian social media platforms whenever celebrity relationship scandals break.
