The moment an elderly woman was purportedly caught stealing a wig from a salon was captured in a viral CCTV footage that went viral on social media and sparked a lot of responses from online users.

The woman is seen in the video, which has been circulated on several social media sites, standing silently inside the salon and seems to be waiting for someone.

The video shows that neither a customer nor a member of the staff was visible inside the store at that moment.

The woman allegedly moved near a display area where a wig had been hung after staying in the shop for a short while. The wig was then observed being taken by her.

Later, someone released the CCTV footage online with the description “THIEF,” claiming that the woman had stolen the item from the salon.

It’s unclear where the incident happened exactly and whether the woman was later identified or taken into custody. Additionally, it’s yet unknown if the salon owner informed the authorities about the situation.

Since then, the video has gone viral, garnering thousands of views and a range of responses from social media users. Some questioned if the person was ultimately apprehended, while others denounced the claimed deed.
