British singer Dua Lipa has reportedly declined an invitation to perform at the proposed 2026 heavyweight boxing showdown between Anthony Joshua and Tyson Fury.
According to reports from the United Kingdom, the performance request was linked to comments made by Turki Alalshikh, chairman of Saudi Arabia’s General Entertainment Authority, who reportedly suggested that her appearance could be part of the event’s conditions.
With more than 64 million monthly listeners on Spotify, Dua Lipa’s involvement would have added major entertainment appeal to the highly anticipated all-British boxing clash.
However, reports from Sky Sports and BBC Sport indicate that the singer was approached but turned down the offer and is not expected to participate in the event.
Reacting to the development, Anthony Joshua’s promoter, Eddie Hearn, clarified that the request did not come from either boxer or his team.
Hearn reportedly stated that the idea came from Turki Alalshikh, adding that discussions regarding the event’s location and entertainment arrangements were beyond the fighters’ control.
