A lady has generated heated controversy online when a video appeared outlining why she chose to leave her lover despite his year-long commitment to caring for her after major surgery.
According to the video, the woman had a major brain operation and was unable to afford competent treatment throughout her rehabilitation.
In response, her partner reportedly quit his job to care for her full-time for a year.
During that period, he was alleged to have overseen all elements of her daily care, such as feeding her, assisting with rehabilitation, and cleaning bodily waste.
Her commitment persisted throughout her recuperation, and her health improved dramatically.
However, while her physical condition improved, the man’s financial situation allegedly deteriorated.
After being unemployed for a long time, he fell behind on bills, incurred debt, and is now said to be working three jobs to cover basic living expenses.
The woman then claimed that her boyfriend was no longer romantic, noting that he was often busy with work and no longer took her out on dates.
This apparently led her to ponder whether the relationship was still worth continuing.
The tale has elicited strong comments online, with many users stating that, while dates and romance may be obtained elsewhere, few people are prepared to give up a complete year of their lives to care for a spouse.
Others believe that the split will eventually allow the man to move on from a relationship that no longer values his sacrifice.
