The Nigerian forward, who is on loan from FC Basel, has been approved for selection ahead of Hamburg’s Bundesliga match against Borussia Dortmund.

Otele’s rehabilitation comes at a key moment, since he recently received his first call-up to the Nigeria national squad.

The 26-year-old has been named to the 23-man team for the forthcoming international friendlies against Iran and Jordan.
