A Nigerian Bolt and inDrive driver has attracted attention online after sharing a prayer he says before beginning his daily work, asking God for protection, good income and the means to provide for his wife and children.

In the video, the driver prayed for a safe and productive day, hoping to earn enough money to pay his children’s school fees and meet his family’s needs.

He also asked God to help drivers earn higher fares, listing the prices he wished to charge for trips between various locations in Lagos, including Sango-Tedo, Lekki, the airport and Ikeja.

Expressing frustration over the rising cost of fuel, the driver prayed that ride-hailing drivers would not have to shoulder the financial burden alone. He also called on God to inspire Nigerians to protest and take back the country from their leaders.

Turning his attention to customers who cancel rides after booking them, the driver prayed for divine punishment for such passengers. In a humorous outburst, he even called for thunder to strike those who cancel trips costing ₦1,400.
