Anambra police arraigns man who m#√dered his employer and carted away N6m

On March 18, 2026, agents of the Anambra State Police Command’s State Cr!minal Investigation Department (SCID) successfully arraigned two suspects in relation to the m3√der of Ikechukwu Simon Nwite and the subsequent theft of his money.

Chiemerie Anieke “M,” a 21-year-old prime suspect, is accused of k!lling his employer, Ikechukwu Nwite, by striking him on the head with a pestle. Additionally, an attack on Ogechukwu Nwite in Fegge, Onitsha, was connected to the suspect.

According to the state police command imagemaker, SP Tochukwu Ikenga, Chiemerie was arraigned before the High Court, Onitsha, alongside one Godwin Nnabuike Nwokporo ‘M’, aged 21 years, who allegedly aided the commission of the crime by providing a bank account through which over Eight Million Naira (N8,000,000) belonging to the deceased was fraudulently transferred.

‘’The Operatives of the Command recovered the sum of Six Million Naira (N6,000,000) from the suspects, being part of the stolen funds, which has been tendered as exhibit in the ongoing court proceedings.”


Ikenga said the suspects have since been remanded at the Correctional Centre pending further proceedings in the matter.
