Lady shares how IShowSpeed changed her view of Africa

The woman acknowledged in a widely shared video that watching IShowSpeed’s content had significantly altered her opinion of Africa.

She was taken aback by the degree of development she saw, including the availability of cars, clean water, modern infrastructure, and internet connectivity.

She disclosed that she had been taught as a child that Africa was underdeveloped and culturally constrained, and that she had previously believed Shakira’s Waka Waka to be the only noteworthy African song.

 

She claimed that learning about Nigerian musician Davido and other facets of African pop culture made her realize how ignorant she had been.

Lady claims government brainwashed them

The woman went further to state that she believed the American government had “brainwashed” citizens about Africa, calling for a reconnection with African roots and heritage. She also expressed shock at learning that Africa is a continent made up of multiple countries, admitting that she once thought it was a single country.

“IShowSpeed is really changing the game. I didn’t know Africa was such a beautiful country. They have cars, water and WiFi. We were really lied to. I used to think the only song in Africa was waka waka by Shakira, only to find out they have Davido. The government brainwashed us. We really need to go back to our brothers and sisters. What is really surprising is that got more than one country. I really thought it was only Africa…”
