Prophet Odumeje, a cleric from Onitsha named Chukwuemeka Ohanaemere, has declared 2026 to be a year of “kabush kabash” for his followers.

During a crossover service at his church, he made the statement, characterizing the new year as a time of intense spiritual confrontations and invisible battles.

Odumeje Declares “Kabush Kabash”

“2026 is a year of kabush kabash,” Odumeje proclaimed during the service, drawing loud reactions from worshippers.

“Kabush kabash” is a slang expression popularised by the cleric and has no direct one-word English meaning.

Odumeje frequently uses this phrase during times of spiritual emphasis, particularly when engaging in glossolalia, or speaking in tongues.

Dramatic Gestures and Battle Claims

Odumeje used dramatic hand gestures to convey the message, raising two fingers and making the “X” sign with his arms—a characteristic of his preaching style.

Even though 2026 would bring many challenges, he assured the congregation that he was spiritually ready to face them.

Odumeje asserted that he had already enlisted the help of God to defend his supporters.

“I know that many will come. I am ready for the battle. Lift up your hands of destiny. The battle is not yours. I am ready to fight your war. I and my heavenly father. From today, prepare the burials of your enemies one by one. I am a warlord. I have never lost a f+ght. I can never lose a battle,” he said.
