Blessing Ezeokafor, the daughter of Nigerian industrialist Chief Joseph Ezeokafor, chairman of Jezco Group, has accused her younger brother, Jowizaza, of being involved in their father’s situation.
Blessing stated in a series of Facebook posts that the ransom demand increased from ₦700 million to ₦1.5 billion because kidnappers thot the family had access to enormous sums of money due to her brother’s extravagant lifestyle.
She said that the family was already deeply in debt and was not as wealthy as Jowizaza depicted them online.
Read what she wrote below;
“Jowizaza, my brother, you are the cause of this madness. Social media noise when we don’t have that money. You use audio money to make hoodlums think the money is available. Imagine ₦1 billion. If anything happens to my dad, I will hold you responsible.
Making noise when we are owing banks ₦40 billion, and these people think the money is there. Fake life, claiming what we don’t have. You are owing banks ₦40 billion, no hope to pay. You’re struggling. Now your madness has made people think we have money.”
Additionally, Blessing had previously claimed that Jowizaza was removed from their father’s firm as a director and given a ₦1 million monthly pay.
She made a direct appeal to the abductors, claiming that her family was unable to pay the enormous ransom being asked.
“Kidnappers, they don’t have money. It is audio money. Please leave my dad alone. Please release him. They are swimming in debt,” she added.
The distraught daughter’s posts have continued to attract attention online as she appeals for her father’s safe release.
