Nigerian rapper Portable has sparked outrage online after criticising comedian and content producer Carter Efe during a recent livestream.
The musician attacked Efe’s slim appearance, compared him to his own friend Kolu, who recently purchased a Honda, and questioned Efe’s accomplishments despite the high-profile exposure he receives.
Portable did not hold back, reflecting on Efe’s past. “Carter Efe, you look very hungry and lean, you no dey see better food chop. Even my boy, Kolu has bought Honda. What did you buy despite Davido coming to livestream?”
He went on to compare Efe’s present appearance to that of his 2023 self, remembering the time when Efe was bulkier and more obviously successful in his comedy career.
“Your 2023 pictures, your videos… you big. Your head big, your body big. Big for nothing. Even you’re living big that time you were doing comedy. Now you think say na only just trend, wetin Taiye use trend wey blow am, Kehinde fit use am trend, e fit kill am. Carter Efe, you no see food chop. Your 2023 better pass your 2026, omo your 2026 worse o,” Portable added.
Fans have commented on the amusing discussion and the lighthearted competition between the two performers on social media as a result of the roast.
