Social media personality and businesswoman Ifedayo Agoro has weighed in on the controversy surrounding comedian Real Warri Pikin and her husband following her recent video with music star Timaya.
In a video shared on social media, Agoro questioned the expectation that husbands should publicly condemn, punish or leave their wives whenever outsiders disapprove of something they have done.
Agoro questions criticism of Real Warri Pikin’s husband
Agoro said she was particularly concerned by reactions to Real Warri Pikin, noting that some social media users had described the comedian’s husband as “weak” and a “simp” because he continued to support his wife.
She questioned why a woman’s husband should be expected to take action against her simply because people online were unhappy with something she had done.
The businesswoman also criticised people who privately message the husbands of successful women, urging them to leave their marriages.> “You are embarrassing yourself by sending DMs to people’s husbands, telling them, I’m sorry for you, the marriage you are in, you should leave your wife.”
According to Agoro, such people were making assumptions about relationships they were not part of and could not fully understand.

Agoro further questioned what critics hoped to achieve by demanding that women face consequences within their marriages for actions that outsiders disagreed with.
She suggested that some people appeared more interested in seeing women lose their marriages, deactivate their social media accounts or be publicly embarrassed by their husbands.> “What exactly are your expectations? All of you mob, all you want is to see the woman suffer.”
She argued that outsiders could not determine whether a husband was unhappy in his marriage simply because he chose to support his wife publicly.

Agoro also challenged the assumption that a man who supports a successful or outspoken wife is necessarily weak.
She argued that successful women can have fulfilling marriages despite criticism from people outside their relationships.> “Who told you that this husband that you’re calling weak and simp are not the real backbones of their wife? Who told you that they’re not happy?”
Agoro concluded by reminding social media users that their opinions do not determine whether another couple’s marriage succeeds or fails.> “You are just a ranting internet stranger. Your vote in how successful their marriage is does not count.”
Her comments have added another perspective to the ongoing online debate surrounding Real Warri Pikin, her husband and the scrutiny public figures often face over their personal relationships.
