“Worst person you can marry is a religious person” — Man claims, gives reasons

A guy has stirred a controversy on social media, alleging that religion has caused more harm than good in modern society.

In a widely shared piece, he claimed that religion had “destroyed as many lives as it has helped spread the gospel,” and that while it has done some good, the negative influence far outweighs it.

He attacked the habit of dissolving marriages for differences in church attendance, calling it one of “the many absurdities of religion.”

He suggested that humans, not religion, are the primary problem, having created and occasionally weaponised it.

“Humans created religion as a way to communicate with a higher power. But they also weaponized it,” he wrote.

The guy emphasised the significance of religion in some of history’s darkest events, such as jihads, crusades, and religious persecution.

According to him, those who believe they are acting on God’s behalf frequently explain behaviours they would never consider otherwise.

Read what he said below:

” Jihads. Crusades. Religious persecution. You name it. It became a launchpad for global destruction.

“When people believe they are acting on behalf of God, they often feel justified doing things they would never otherwise do.”

He concluded with a warning to those considering marriage, stating, “The worst person you can marry is a religious person. Get yourself a godly person to be with.”
