A man has started a discourse among women about shifting priorities and the complexities of familial devotion.
The plot revolves around a Nigerian woman whose perspectives on love, sacrifice, and family have shifted radically over two decades.
In 2002, when asked if she would let her husband buy a car for his mother before her, a single woman adamantly refused.
“If I get married, he must buy me a car first before his mother, because I am his wife now,” she reportedly said. At the time, her stance reflected a desire for recognition and priority within her marital relationship.
Fast forward 23 years, and the same woman, now a mother of four, is asked if she will let her sons buy automobiles for their wives before getting one for herself.
Her response mirrored her earlier position, albeit with a twist: “No. Now that I’m raising these children, where are the wives? If my children are eventually in a position to buy cars, they must buy for me first,” she stated, highlighting her Perception of familial obligation and gratitude.
Ironically, her stance ignored the reality that in 2002, she requested her husband prioritise her over his mother, who had sacrificed to raise him.

@wonda_design added: “I’ve been saying this. Women are first narcissistic—they care about themselves first. Secondly, they are misogynistic—they hate other women.”
@OladapoGbolaha4: “When you understand that every woman is only loyal to her feelings and her sacrifice first before anything else, then you are halfway through knowing the gender.”
@ozoh_ozone: “The greatest problem a woman has is her fellow woman”
