Nigerian musician and actor Folarin Falana, best known by his stage name Falz, feels that many people are better prepared for the lifetime commitment after reaching their 30s and that marriage should not be pushed.

The musician stated that maturity and life experience, which frequently accompany age, are more important than age alone.

He maintained that the 20s are a better time for personal growth than settling down because many young folks are still figuring out who they are.

Falz made the comments while discussing the pressure that many young people have to get married young on The BTS Reality podcast.

He argued that people should focus on laying a solid basis for their future rather than giving in to pressure from friends, family, or society.

He contends that achieving age-related expectations should be subordinated to traits like emotional intelligence, financial independence, and mental preparedness, all of which become stronger over time.

The performer portrayed the 20s as a chance to learn, pursue goals, make errors, and obtain a better grasp of life before making long-term commitments, rather than as a deadline for marriage.

According to Falz, “Getting married in your 30s is the best. Don’t let anyone pressure you into getting married before 30. By your 30s, you have gained more life experiences. In your 20s, you are still figuring yourself out.

Your 20s are for learning, growing, and enjoying life. In your 30s, you combine all the knowledge and try to direct your life. So, it is better to wait till your 30s before getting married.”
