Afrobeats musician Spyro has stated that he does not intend to leave his wealth to his offspring, citing his inability to foresee what they would do with it once he passes away.

The musician discussed his opinions on riches, fatherhood, and his Christian religion in a recent interview.

Spyro claims that he does not believe in building fortune just to leave it to his offspring when he passes away.

“I’m not part of the school of thought of leaving money down for children because, at the end of the day, after I’m gone, I don’t know what they will do with it,” he said.

Additionally, Spyro discussed his musical career and made it clear that he is not required to compose gospel music because of his Christian religion.

He clarified that while he views himself as a devoted Christian who loves and serves God, Jesus need not always be the center of his songs.

“I’m a Jesus boy, but my music does not necessarily need to be Jesus music. I’m a Jesus boy because I love and serve God. I don’t necessarily need to do gospel music,” he added.

Online discussions on wealth, inheritance, parenting, and the connection between faith and music have been triggered by his remarks.

While seeking a career in popular Nigerian music, Spyro has persisted in publicly expressing his Christian convictions.
