Zubby Michael, a Nollywood actor, donated ₦10.2 million to people on the streets as a kind of tithing.
In an interview, the actor revealed that the figure is 10% of the ₦102 million he received from movie roles in a short period.Movies
He stated that rather than tithing to a church, he wants to contribute directly to individuals in need.
Zubby Michael also indicated that he does not believe in tithing through religious institutions, emphasising that his decision is founded on personal conviction.
He also stated that his recent earnings from acting jobs represent his current success in the profession, pointing out that the sum was earned in a very short period of time rather than over the course of his whole career.
“Not to brag but I am the richest actor. The last time I checked my book, I realised that I have made N102 million from artist’s fee lately. Not in my whole career but just of recent.
“I donated N10.2 million, which is 10 per cent of the money to the needy on the street.
“I don’t pay tithe to the church. I don’t go to the church. I don’t believe in paying tithe to the church,” he said.
