A Nigerian serving in the US military has stirred an online controversy by daring Nigerians to name one advantage of living in Nigeria.

In a popular video published on social media, the serviceman stated that he difficult to name any distinct benefits of being Nigerian while residing in the nation.

He said, “I didn’t know what to say. Come to think of it, there is not actually one single benefit of being a Nigerian in Nigeria.”

According to him, the scenario made it difficult for him to identify even one advantage of being in Nigeria.

He further asked Nigerians to consider the question themselves, saying, “What is one benefit of being a Nigerian in Nigeria?”

However, the serviceman lauded Nigerians for their resilience and strong work ethic, particularly those who had established themselves outside of the country.

He said, “Nigerians all over the world are the most resilient, hard-working people you can ever get.”

Despite his affection for Nigerians, he distinguished between being Nigerian and living in Nigeria.

According to him, “The idea of being a Nigerian is mind-blowing, but the idea of being a Nigerian in Nigeria is demeaning.”

He then dared his audience to prove him wrong by suggesting an advantage he could have overlooked.

He concluded by saying, “If you know any single benefit of being a Nigerian in Nigeria, tell me in the comment section.”
